1. Baba Suwe

The late veteran actor, Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe died on November 22, 2021, after battling an illness for an extended period. He was 63 years old.

2. Murphy Afolabi

Renowned Nigerian actor-filmmaker Murphy Afolabi passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 49, shortly after celebrating his birthday on May 5, 2023. We have information about the cause of his death.
3. Iyabo Oko

Veteran actress, Sidikat Odukanwi known by fans and colleagues as Iyabo Oko battled with her health for years before she died. Rumours of her death first surfaced in 2021 and 2022.

4. Chief Ojo Arowosafe ( Fadeyi Oloro)

Popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, the veteran Nollywood actor passed away on March 7, 2023, aged 66. His daughter, Fasunwon Oluwafunke, broke the news of the actor’s death following a protracted battle with a terminal disease.
Fadeyi Oloro was loved by many for his iconic roles in Yoruba movies, as a traditional warlord or herbalist. Some of his notable works include Inubibi, Anike Olufa and Akoni Mefa.
5. Adewale Adeyomo

Prince Adewale Adeyemo died on Monday morning, 22nd of May, 2023 after a brief illness. This is according to a post by a colleague of his, Kunle Afod, on his Instagram page. Recent weeks have thrown Nollywood into some form of turbulent times
6. Dejo Tunfulu

The recent death that shocked many artists and lovers of Yoruba Nollywood is the death of Kunle Adetokunbo popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu. He died on the 1st of April, 2022.
7. Toyin Majekodunmi

Toyin Majekodunmi popularly known as Iya Kike was a veteran Yoruba movie actress and producer, she passed away 2nd of January, 2017.
8. Rechel Oniga

Rachel died on Friday, 30th of July, 2021 at the age of 64. She was born on 23 May 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos State.
9. Henrietta Kosoko

Henrietta died on Monday, 6th of June, 2016 after suffering from diabetes. She left 4 children behind, they are Taiwo Olowu, Kehinde Olowu, Muyiwa Kosoko and Temilade Kosoko.
10. Pa kasumu

Olukayode Odumosu popularly known as Pa Kasumu died in Lagos on March 1, 2020, at the age of 67 after an illness. He was born on March 16, 1953, in Oyo State.
11. Bisi Komolafe

Fasasi Olabankewin, popularly known as Dagunro died on the 13th of June 2019. He was buried in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
15. Olumide Bakare

Olumide Bakare died on the 22nd of April, 2017, in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital due to a heart and lung disease, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was born on the 26th of November 1953 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria.
16. Pastor Ajidara

Adesina Adesanya, popularly known as Pastor Ajidara died of a kidney ailment on May 7, 2017, at a private hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
He was buried on May 26, 2017, in his private residence in Abeokuta. Ajidara was born in 1953 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Ishola Durojaiye popularly known as Ahmed Alasari died on Sunday, March 10, 2011, and was buried on March 15 in his town, Ita Elega which is in Abeokuta.
