His big break in the Nigerian Music industry came about after releasing his popular song, Bad Influence which had powerful heartbreaking lyrics.
However, Omah Lay started his music career officially and fully in 2020, when he released his debut EP titled Get Layed which included the breakout song, Bad Influence and hits Like You Also.
His name spread more when he was featured on Olamide’s Infinity track from his Carpe Diem Album. The song had powerful lyrics and talked about loving till the end of time. The song topped the Apple Music Charts for Nigeria during its release.
Omah Lay released his second studio EP titled What Have We Done on the 20th of November, 2020. The EP contained 5 tracks and the hit track titled Godly, reached Number One on the Apple Music Charts for Nigeria, topping the chart at the time of release.
Omah Lay released his debut studio album titled Boy Alone on the 15th of July, 2022. The Album also had good tracks and was distributed by Sire and Keyqaad Records internationally and Domestically, respectively.

On the 14th of December, 2020, Omah Lay was arrested in Uganda by the Ugandan Police alongside Grammy Award-winning singer, Tems for Violating/Flaunting the Country’s lockdown rule by performing in a show which gathered multitudes of fans to watch. However, they were released two days later.
Later report from Tems manager had it that Tems Performed a praise and Worship session while in a cell alongside cell mates when she and Omah Lay were arrested in Uganda. There is no other Controversy related to Omah Lay which I know of. The post will be updated as time goes on.
