Yoruba movie industry has witnessed the loss of some versatile actors who have contributed immensely to the development of the Nollywood industry.
It has become a difficult thing for their colleagues and fans to forget them, this is making us write about 12 of them whose death has taken from us.
This article will be talking about 12 of them who are very much popular;
1. Pa kasumu
Olukayode Odumosu popularly known as Pa Kasumu died in Lagos on March 1, 2020, at the age of 67 after an illness. He was born on March 16, 1953, in Oyo State.
2. Dejo Tunfulu
The recent death that shocked many artists and lovers of Yoruba Nollywood is the death of Kunle Adetokunbo popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu. He died on the 1st of April, 2022.
3. Ogun Majek
Gbolagade Akinpelu, popularly known as Ogun Majek died on Thursday, 25th of June 2020 at his Imalefalafia, Oke-Ado, Ibadan home.
4. Dagunro
Fasasi Olabankewin, popularly known as Dagunro died on the 13th of June 2019. He was buried in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
5. Olumide Bakare
Olumide Bakare died on the 22nd of April, 2017, in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital due to a heart and lung disease, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was born on the 26th of November 1953 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria.
6. Pastor Ajidara
Adesina Adesanya, popularly known as Pastor Ajidara died of a kidney ailment on May 7, 2017, at a private hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
He was buried on May 26, 2017, in his private residence in Abeokuta. Ajidara was born in 1953 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
7. Ahmed Alasari
Ahmed Alasari died on Sunday, March 10, 2011, and was buried on March 15 in his town, Ita Elega which is in Abeokuta. He died following injuries sustained in a fatal car accident.
Alasari was born in 1965 in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, Southwestern part of Nigeria.
8. Adebayo Faleti
Adebayo Faleti died on the 23rd of July 2017, in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. Hw was born on the 26th of December 1921 in Oyo town.
9. Tafa Oloyede
John Adewuni popularly called Tafa Oleyede died on Tuesday, 1st of February 2022 at his residence in Osogbo at the age of 69.
He was laid to rest on Friday, 4th of February, 2022 in his home town of Ede, Osun State, Southwestern part of Nigeria.
10. Baba Alaran
Mufutau Oladokun popularly known as Baba Alaran passed away in 2006 and was a comic actor in Yoruba Nollywood.
11. Ajigijaga
Mufutau Sanni Abdulahi Popularly known as Ajigijaga died on Friday, July 31st, 2015 at his residence at Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos State.
He died at the age of 60 in his residence at Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos. He sustained an injury from a motorcycle (okada) accident that led to his death two weeks after the incident.
12. Olurotimi Ayinde
Olurotimi Ayinde also known as Abu Olododo died on the 25th of July, 2017 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday night at the age of 51.
