Biography

Wasiu Alabi Pasuma is a Nigerian film actor, Fuji singer and songwriter born on the 27th of November, 1967 in Mushlin, Lagos.

Early Life

He was born at Mushin in Lagos State but brought up he was later brought up in Kwara State, Nigeria. He spent his little age in Mushin before relocating to Kwara State.

There were days when he only ate once a day. Then, his mother would ask him to eat at night so that he would not go to sleep hungry.

Education

In 1973, Pasuma began his primary education at Muslim Mission Primary School. Six years later, he moved to Nigerian Model High School for his secondary school education.

Career

Pasuma become a superstar in 1993 when his album titled “Recognition” was released. He had started singing at the age of 17 but his first album “Recognition” made him to be recognised.

Since then, he has released over 30 albums, going on to become one of the most successful Fuji musicians in Nigeria.
