After facing seven rejections, Oluseye Oduyale secured a scholarship worth $300,000 to attend Johns Hopkins University in the United States, where he graduated as a Medical Doctor.
Oluseye Oduyale, a Nigerian, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Medicine. He celebrated this milestone on Twitter, dedicating his success to his mother.
Following his undergraduate studies, Oluseye aimed to pursue medical school and applied to eight different institutions. His mother recommended Johns Hopkins University, which not only accepted him but also awarded him a substantial scholarship. With this achievement, he expressed gratitude towards those who supported him throughout his academic journey.
”Send one to Johns Hopkins,” she said. “You never know what God is capable of.” 8 medical school applications, 1 acceptance, and 4 years later, I get to celebrate the sacrifices of many who have walked with me to this point. This one’s for you, Mum,” He said.
Oluseye completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He mentioned that he will proceed to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, United States, for his General Surgery residency.
