He was celebrated and honoured at Education District IV in Lagos state. Raheem, a Sanya Senior Grammar School Ijeshatedo Surulere Lagos teacher, was presented with a cheque of N20,000.
He shared a photo of himself holding the cash prize given to him by Action for Change and Empowerment, an organisation affiliated with the government.
The teacher dedicated the award to his mother and all those who have tutored him in one way or the other in his journey.
“In lofty recognition of outstanding performances, excellence contributions, commitment and dedication to service as an outstanding educator in education 2022. However, social media users have reacted to the prize given to Adekoya Raheem, saying the money was too small and is not enough incentive for him to keep doing great work.
