One year after deciding to pursue music, Naira Marley recorded and released his debut EP titled Gotta Dance in 2015. Before then, he had dropped his debut single, Marry Juana, featuring Max Twigz.
Until 2017, Naira Marley achieved the success that he had been dreaming of. The success came after he dropped Issa Goal, featuring Olamide and Lil Kesh.
In December 2017, The released Issa Goal became the choice street pop song in the country, receiving massive airplay on radio stations and the speakers of clubs across the country.

He revealed that the inspiration behind the name ‘Naira Marley’ was obtained from Bob Marley. His love and admiration for Bob Marley were profound and evident that his appearance (dreadlocks) resembles that of the Late Jamaican music legend.
