Winner’s Pastor, Afolabi Samuel has been convicted A Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja for stealing N4.5m belonging to the registered trustees of the church.
Samuel, who is an accountant and the church’s treasurer, was arraigned before Justice Mojisola Dada on two counts of conspiracy and stealing by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
He was arraigned alongside one Mrs. Blessing Kolawole, who is also a worker in the church’s University.

Pastor Afolabi Samuel was employed in the accounting department of the church went ahead to allegedly steal from the church.
According to The Punch, the lawyer of the convict, Barrister Rotimi Ogunwuyi pleaded-guilty and appealed to the judge to temper justice with mercy.
