For over two decades, Bukky Black has graced the Yoruba movie industry with her exceptional talent and has become a household name.

Born and raised in Kwara State, Bukky completed her primary and secondary education before proceeding to tertiary education. Little did she know that her destiny lies in the entertainment industry.
Bukky started her acting career by playing minor roles in films. However, with her outstanding performance, she quickly rose to the top and was soon promoted to supporting and major roles. Her dark complexion earned her the stage name, Bukky Black.
Over the years, Bukky has acted alongside some of the biggest names in the Yoruba movie industry, such as Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, Yinka Quadri, Rasak Ajao Artisan, Olu Jacob, Olanrewaju Abiodun, among others.

But Bukky’s talent is not limited to acting alone. Before venturing into the movie industry, she was a trained hairstylist in Nigeria. After migrating to Germany, she continued her passion for hair styling and now runs a successful hair and makeup business in Hamburg. Her clientele comprises both blacks and whites, a testament to her excellent skills.

Aside from being a successful actress and hairstylist, Bukky is also a doting wife and mother. Her daughter, Jumoke Black, tied the knot with her heartthrob, Eniola Akinbo, in a lavish traditional wedding ceremony held in Dortmund, Germany. The couple is blessed with a beautiful baby girl, who was born on the 10th of April 2016.
