Ladi was born in the Mushin area of Lagos into a family of seven children, six boys and a girl. He spent his childhood in Mushin before moving to Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Ladi attended Ojuwoye Primary School Idi Olowo Mushin, Lagos for his primary education and St. Peters College, Abeokuta for secondary education.
