On the 5th of March, 2006, the Big Brother Naija show was first aired and it produced Katung Aduwak as the first winner and other past winners.
The show was not aired for a while, not until 2017 which it came back big and better. Since then, Big Brother has gained a lot of popularity rising to the top, being the most viewed and talked about the show.

The winner of the premier edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Katung Aduwak. He defeated Francisca Owumi as runner-up, while Ifeoma “Ify” Ejikeme and Sandra “Sandy” Osigbovo came third and fourth respective
The first edition was held between March 5 and June 4, 2006, and was held in Nigeria. The winner took home $100,000 prize. The show was hosted by Michelle Dede and Olisa Adibua.
Katung Aduwak was born on the 21st of March 1980. According to Wikipedia, Katung hails from Zonkwa, Kaduna State. He is a scriptwriter, producer and director. He is a graduate of Political Science from the University of Jos.
He is now a filmmaker, he produces and directs movies. Some of his productions are “Unwanted Guest” and “Heaven’s Hell.
Katung is the first among the past winners of Big Brother Naija reality show and since then, several winners have emerged from the reality show
- Season 2 (2017) – Efe Ejeba
The winner of the second edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Michael Efe Ejeba. He defeated Actress, Bisola Aiyeola as runner-up, while singers, Debbie Rise and Marvis NKpornwi came third and fourth respectively.
The second edition was held in South Africa between the 22nd of January to 9th of April 2017. The winner took home the N25,000,000 prize. The show was hosted by ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu who partook in Season 1 but couldn’t make it to the final.
Efe Ejeba was born on the 25th of February 1993. According to Wikipedia, Efe hails from Delta State. He is a singer, songwriter and rapper. He is a graduate of the University of Jos.
- Season 3 (2018) – Miracle Igbokwe
The winner of the third edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Miracle Igbokwe. He defeated Actress, Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee-C) as runner-up, while Actor, Tobi Bakre and Alexandra Sandra Asogwa came third and fourth respectively.
The third edition was held in South Africa between January 28 to 22nd of April, 2018. Miracle took home the N45,000,000 prize.

The winner of the fourth edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Mercy Eke. She defeated Actor, Mike Edwards as runner-up, while Chukwuemeka Okoy (Frodd) and Omashola Oburoh came third and fourth respectively.
The fourth edition was held in Nigeria between the 30th of June to October 6, 2019. Mercy took home the N60,000,000 prize.

The winner of the fifth edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Olamilekan Agbeleshe (Laycon) He defeated Dorathy as runner-up, while Rebecca Nengi Hampson and Vee Iye came third and fourth respectively.
The fifth edition was held in Nigeria between the 19th of July to 27th of September, 2020. Laycon took home the N85,000,000 prize.
Laycon was born on the 8th of November, 1993. According to Wikipedia, Laycon hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a media personality, rapper, singer and songwriter She graduated from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He is currently the Ogun State Youth Ambassador.
The winner of the fifth edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show is Hazel Oyeze Onou popularly as White Money. He defeated dancer and influencer, Liquorose as runner-up, while Pere Egbi and Ikechukwu Sunday Cross came third and fourth respectively.

The sixth edition was held in Nigeria between 24 July to 3 October 2021. White Money earns a Prize of 90 million naira. The prize includes ₦30 million cash prize, cash in an Abeg digital wallet, bitcoins courtesy of Patricia, a two-bedroom apartment courtesy of RevolutionPlus Property, a top of the range SUV from a Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors.
White Money was born on the 6th of July, 1992 in Kaduna and he grew up in the Northwestern state of Nigeria. He is a native of Enugu and has been doing business all his life.
